Trattoria Fortunata

01

Overview

They say success comes with time, and Trattoria Fortunata is a testament to Chef Kyle Geniti’s lifelong dream of opening an authentic Italian restaurant. Based on his family’s values, knowledge of cuisine, and lifelong roots in Paloma, Italy, Trattoria Fortunata opened up in downtown Saratoga, NY, to critical success. A few things were missing, though; for one, Kyle didn’t have a website for Trattoria Fortunata. He had no way to showcase Trattoria Fortunata’s diverse and enticing menus to the public or offer the ability to order gourmet food online. Secondly, although successful from the start, Trattoria Fortunata wasn’t indexed by any search engines, which made it nearly impossible for customers to learn about his business.

Solution

They say starting with a blank state is easiest, that adage, unfortunately, doesn’t always apply to websites and marketing. When we first spoke to Chef Kyle Geniti, we immediately set out to learn about his business and his customer base. As a new company, Trattoria Fortunata had limited data on their customers, their habits, and what marketing efforts were most effective. We held numerous meetings and conferences with Chef Kyle Geniti to better understand his business, the restaurant industry, and customers. Once we had a greater insight into his business and core audience, we created an internal profile of the average Trattoria Fortunata customer and based all of our design decisions on that profile, so we weren’t designing in the dark.

After discussions with Chef Kyle Geniti, we decided to power his new website with our Starter Website Plan. This plan was the perfect fit for his new business and offered the features he was looking for and the ability to grow with his business without significant overhead. We created a rich color scheme to compliment his existing logo and branding, custom iconography to make the website’s design pop, and meticulously paired the perfect font combinations to breathe elegance into the site design. Chef Kyle Geniti provided us with beautiful professional imagery of his dishes, which we used throughout the website to entice his customers to either place an order online or make a reservation to dine in.

To help solve his local search and discovery issues, we created a Google Business Profile for Trattoria Fortunata. We helped Chef Kyle Geniti get his business listed accurately with Google and other primary citation sources. To help boost Trattoria Fortunata’s Local SEO, we ensured that the new website was optimized correctly for search engines and integrated our reputation and review generation tool. This two-pronged approach allows for a solid organic start with search engines while at the same time generating new content in the form of customer reviews. We also integrated MailChimp so Chef Kyle Geniti can keep his customers engaged via email about any special events that may be upcoming at Trattoria Fortunata.

Finally, to make online ordering easy for Trattoria Fortunata customers, we integrated trusted delivery services DoorDash and Upserve into the website, which allow customers to easily and quickly place delivery orders online..
